The Great Wall of Chinese Language

They say the journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. Tonight marks the beginning of my journey to learn Chinese. In this case it’s a journey of 4,000 miles (length of the great wall). 
Here’s what I have so far.
Hello = Ni Hao - 你好
Goodbye = zia jian – 再见
Thank you = Shie Shie or (xie xie) – 谢谢
Xie xie to my very first teacher Jing who is a physics grad student here at CU!
